Our introductory level course in Service Design offers units in user research, service design tools and methods, co-design, and a work-based project. Each unit equates to 40 hours of study including an introductory session, pre-reading, learning materials, two day dynamic bootcamp and assessment. Students can opt to attend a 2 day bootcamp on campus or study online.

Service Design Units

We are offering the full award as individual units in User Research, Co-Design and Service Design Tools and Methods and the work-based Project.  Each short unit equates to 40 hours of study including an introductory session, pre-reading, learning materials, two day dynamic bootcamp and assessment. Students can opt to attend a 2 day bootcamp on campus or study online.  The work-based project unit can only be undertaken once the 3 other units have been completed.

Service Design Bootcamps

Non-accredited bootcamps are available for our User Research, Tools and Methods and Co-Design short courses. Each bootcamp is an immersive two day learning experience where participants will be introduced to service design approaches through dynamic and interactive workshops.

Service Design Taster Day

Through dynamic and interactive workshops this taster course will introduce you to service design, the tools and methodologies. Our courses and events aim to foster design leadership, build service design capacity and create a community of practitioners. The fee for this course is fully refundable against a successful application to the Service Design Award.
