Zero Waste Scotland (ZWS) is dedicated to creating a sustainable future by supporting the transition from a linear ‘make, use, dispose’ model to a circular ‘make, use, remake’ system.

By taking a place-based approach, Zero Waste Scotland shows the benefits of a circular economy, supporting key sectors, building strong local relationships, and connecting with other regional activities.

We were delighted to support the Cities and Regions team at ZWS on strategy development as they explored their value proposition.

In a series of face to face and online workshops facilitated by John King and Robbie Beautyman, the ZWS team explored how they can measure success in long-term projects and find the best ways to engage with communities.

It was wonderful to hear this feedback from Helen Lavery, ZWS Partner:

The project has been hugely helpful and gave us valuable structure and direction. Plus space to have some important conversations.

Acting Lead Service Design Educator John King added:

Evaluating your value proposition can be challenging, it’s easy to become too close to your own work.

Our short programme with ZWS has helped to fresh perspectives, and taking a design led approach means that assumptions are challenged. As always, it’s brilliant to work with such an engaged and focussed group of ZWS colleagues!

Do you need help to develop your strategy to help your organisation reach its goals?
